Badass Bridge III, Not Recommended

I have had problems with Badass bridges. Yes, I am very familiar with the concept of shimming, but I don't like to do it, and I especially don't like to shim a neck and alter an otherwise great neck-body relationship for a replacement bridge. I tried 3 Badass bridges on 3 basses, only one allowed low action, and that was with the saddles almost bottomed out.

In addition, I haven't found the Badass to be that wonderful of an improvement on tone.

That being said, I know there are many bass players who love the concept and swear by the product. To each his own. I wish Leo Quan only the best with his physical challenges.

dammit!! all this bad news a day after i ordered my BA II!! and when i posted the question not too long ago i didnt get a response

Don't worry. You decide if it works for you when you put it on. If not, you will get plenty on the resale. I've put them on basses where it made no difference at all and I've put one on a bass that totally changed it for the better. You won't really know until you try it on a particular bass.
