Badass II bridge

May I know whats your take on the BA II? It seems you have it on acouple of your basses, does it really change the tone like mainly have claimed?

Ive personally installed a similar high mass bridge, the gotoh 201 onto my jazz but I didnt hear any significant tone difference

New strings recommended with new bridge.
Some people say it doesnt make a difference

i prefer higher mass bridges as well, but i really don't there's much difference between a baII and other reputable high mass bridges like the gotoh.

Can you describe the difference in sustain? "Sustain" just comes across as one of those meaningless terms when talking about a solid body bass. Is it significant enough - i.e., real world difference - to be worth the effort?

I've switched back and forth between my ba2 and the stock bridge on my fender p. Huge difference in tone. The ba2 makes the tone similar to being hit in the throat with a broom stick.... but in a good way

Of course, a set of new strings will make a bass "brighter" & "punchier" on their own, but the BAII causes the notes to ring out longer (sustain) and sound "ballsier" (fuller) due to the added metal of the saddles & base of the bridge.
As was said, there are many hi-mass bridges on the market that do the same. The Badass has been around for decades and is very well known.
