Badass Jazz Bass

"Like a Sadowsky Jazz...for $500?" Wow. Whatever you've got in the old 4-footer, please pass it this way. I think a Sadowsky with no pickups, no strings and a cracked neck would still sell for more than $500.

Sarcasm aside, you could get a Squire Deluxe with the active pickups for that price. http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squier-Deluxe-Jazz-Bass-IV-Active?sku=620727 I almost bought this very bass but decided to give SX a try. Along that line, buy an SX and put an active preamp (Audere or similar) in it.

HI

Sounds like you are on a budget or still in school. Used GL is cool. If you can afford it, save your money and step up to the bass you want

Rob

I'm in 8th Grade, so my budget is small, and im no genius when it comes to modding.

I'm not looking for an immediate purchase, ima waitng for down the road, im saving up, it can be done though, i bought a Bassman 250/210used for $ 450 all by myself :bassist: but also i was joking with my 18 brother "Give my your paycheck for a new bass" and he said sure, and i was said, im kidding, and he siad, no illb uy you a bass. :bassist: cool stuff. ima lucky kid if he really does.

Good for you on the set-up you bought yourself! Sure, a solid Squier Jazz (Classic or Vintage), used Fender Jazz-all good. JUST PLAY IT FIRST, both sitting and standing. Then have a blast!
