Also, we each play differently and showcase what we like about the pedal...Some people like direct line...others like amped clips...

I'll be in Tennessee all next week fixing folks' houses, so I'm trying to get everything done (that I can) before I head out. Still waiting for a shipment with additional Wayfarer parts (for the extended run), but at least I got this boxed up for Paul this morning.

I'll be in Tennessee all week, and most of next week, but I'm sure Paul's clips would be better than mine anyway.

I'll be slowing down the builds because I've got a ton of stuff to do around the house to prep for the little Rocket on the way, and I've recently picked up a second gig. The Wayfarer is officially on hiatus after I finish up the orders that I've got, but I'll probably keep making the Wild Goose in limited numbers on the side.

Got me a Wayfarer and a Wild Goose in the mail today.

First clean, then pedal engaged, then dirty switch flipped on. Then noodling back and forth with dirt switch on and off, pedal remains engaged.

First clean, then engaged when you hear the tube "hiss". I just noodled around while twiddling the "filter" (tone) knob and the gain knob. I demo'd the Goose with a 9v power supply. I will post another link with a 12v once I get one later this week. I have the 12au7 tube installed.

Overall I'm

Both clips are recorded with an active EQ bass. Jimmy's soundcloud clips are with his passive. Correct me if I'm wrong Jimmy. Now enjoy and go forth and buy some Baddy One Shoe pedals!

Jimmy is a super dude with top notch stuff at a fair price. I've got three of his pedals and they're all awesome.

I've been talking to Jim about making me a Wild Goose. I can't wait.

The wayfarer was a plug and play for me. I'm going to need some time with the wild goose to learn it well. I also think the 12v power supply will be more friendly to the pedal and give it a better tone (not that it's bad at 9v....)

Hey all, thanks for the kind words. Just checking in via phone from the mountains of Tennessee.

Plug and play is a good way to describe the wayfarer. The wild goose is sort of like a good P Bass. One trick, but a good trick. Really there's a lot more to be had playing with dynamics and instrument levels.

I've really been into the subtleties between types of overdrives lately with building amps and it has filtered over into my pedals.

Paul, are you getting hiss in recording direct or is that going through an amp? I'll try to make some amp/mic clips when I get home.

Jimmy shot me a PM with some possible reasons I was getting "hiss" in my WF and WG. Turns out, Jimmy was spot on with what the problem may be. Turns out, the grounding in my amp is a lot better then the grounding through my M Audio recording interface with my PC. So... I put the pedals on the amp yesterday and sure enough, no hissing. Absolutely zero hissing from either pedals on the amp. Now I know.

These are some great pedals Jimmy. I'm definetly going to have some fun with these.
