Mine doesn't have the on/off switch. Does mine automatically warm the tube when power is plugged in? I haven't played on it in a while, so I'm rusty on the details.
I had one for a while. It's mellow, but gives a tube-like warmth to your tone. I got a tube preamp that replaced it, but it's good for price. Try it after dirt pedals to give their sound more depth and feel.
That's good adviceThe honeycomb is my "always on" tone and it likes to be driven by boosters and the like.
What bass are you using with it?
There is one resistor that you can change to up the output/dirt level. It's a 1k resistor and it can be exchanged for ~ a 50 ohm resistor. I have resistors I can send you if you're comfortable making the swap.
