Baffled by the Baffle ...

The Recex screws I have, will go all the way through the front mounted speaker's holes and stick out about 1/2" into the inside of the cab. Will this be less strong? Should the screw just be long enough to into the baffle board or is all the way through, OK ???

You should be fine, although I glue 1" x 1" squares of 1/2" plywood on the baffle to give the screws more bite.
