Bag End guys - what is this cab?

I picked this cab up used on a whim a while ago and know absolutely nothing about it, other than it's a 15" and it sounded pretty good. I assume it's an 8 ohm cab? There are no markings on it that I can see.

Any info would be appreciated...

yup S15... same as the current S15-D but in black carpet.

They made them like that at the end of the 80s into the mid 90s

Double yup... I have three of them in the red carpet. I think the black ones are a half inch smaller all around?

Add a second one for a really killer mini stack that can compete with the big boys.

S15-B, 8 ohms

NOT the -B... if you want to get technical, if they made it today it would be a -C

-B = 13 Ply Birch (like my D12-B)
-C = Carpet (black)
-D = Deep Red Carpet
-DF = Deep Red Carpet & floor Monitor shape

the leading letter is either:

S = Single (1)
D = Double (2)
Q = Quad (4)

The number = driver size

The letters after the number and before the dash mean:

B = deeper bass (larger box)
X = coax speaker

cripula:

I use to run an S15 with an S12 and it was a KILLER rig... I think the EX112 is a similar cab to the S12 so it should be amazing as well.

FYI: the S12 (which is my favorite cab to mic in the studio) is a $400 cab if you go the 'new' route ;)
