Double Bass Baggs Gigpro Problem

For those who have an LR Baggs Gigpro preamp, have you ever experienced the volume pot being noisy when turning it? The sound does not cut out at all, it just makes a static-like sound when moving it. I tried cleaning the pot with contact cleaner, changing the battery (was dead quiet for few minutes after changing, then the noise came back), cords, amps etc. Nothing seems to change it. This is the second unit that I have had the same problem with.

Does the phantom power switch have any effect?
If turned ON or OFF, do you still have the noise?

Same question with the TRIM pot.
Is placing it in a different position affects the noise?

Same question with the Gain control. (the one next to the input jack, not the Volume)
Is placing it in a different position affects the noise?

Same question with the tone controls.
Is placing them in a different position affects the noise?

Same question with the invert control.
Is placing it On or OFF affects the noise?

That said, I once got in touch with their Tech support, and they answered really quickly.
Good luck!

Bad pot probably. Unless it’s only mounted to just the chassis not the PC board too replacing it yourself is probably anywhere from brutally frustrating to impossible. Baggs will probably do you right if you send it back to them.
Thanks, but if it were the pot it would not work for the dealer. On this one the noise is also on bass and treble.

I received a response from support:

Sadly, this is not an issue I've come across before, so I am not entirely sure how to remedy it. I would be happy to have you send the Gigpro back to me for testing, but I have a feeling that it will work just fine through our normal tests.

Do you happen to have an electric bass or something completely different that you can try with the Gigpro?

This is such a strange issue, and I am so sorry that it's been such a hassle to deal with.
