Thank you. So, its not the Shield but the inversed two signals that cancels the hum and noice. Does every TRS cable has shield around signal wire?
yes thats it, and you need both ends to be plugged into balanced sockets with balancing circuits 'within' them for it to actually work as a balanced cable. In other words, a balanced cable wouldn't do its job without the additional circuitry for the 'balanced' ins and outs in the gear you are interfacing.
Almost every audio cable has a shield. Mono TS cables do as well, as does a lot of other electrical cable. When buying cable it will often say '1 core + shield' (suitable for TS jack), or '2 core + Shield' (for mic cables or balanced jacks) etc.
In most applications you use the shield for the ground, and the other wires for signal/s. But it will not protect against very much, hence the development of balanced systems.

In a cable you always need a ground, then add one core for every unbalanced audio signal you need, and two for every balanced one. So a balanced stereo cable would need 4 cores + ground, unbalanced would need 2 cores + ground etc.
