Balancing device for small bodied bass

Somebody used to make a one-piece nonadjustable version to replace the neckplate on G&L ASAT basses. It only stuck out about 2" toward the neck and had a slight curve. I certainly would have bought one if had known they existed while I owned mine. I have also thought about making a similar item for my shortscale MIJ axe.

I would like a few folks who are interested to try (not buy) this device. I think this would help me a lot to get first hand trials.

You might get more of a response if you posted something to one of the main Thunderbird threads on TB. I've seen more discussion about balance and neck dive issues there than anywhere else.

So indicates that 1) it's not a new idea; 2) great minds think alike; and 3) there's possibly a market for such a device for Thunderbird players who don't have the inclination or resources to make such a device themselves.
