Band Logo Display Ideas

I have definitely seen it done in a professional show, but I don't I have any pics on hand. The rigging included a round framework, and a stretched white projection screen within it, very much what like Pink Floyd (and assorted tribute acts) do, but at a smaller scale.

In theory, it's a great idea, but without a screen, the color of the wall or surface upon which you'll be projecting, and the brightness, distance, and angle adjustability of the projector will be the variables to be worked out. At the very least, it seems like having the logo in white on a black background would be most adaptable to the widest variety of surfaces and settings (absent a screen, that is).

Love the idea, though. Good luck!

Anyone use a Gobo projector or any other type of projector to shine their logo onto a wall or blank banner? Results or pictures? Looking to do something creative with my band, besides a regular banner. Thanks!
Yes. It worked out well. I’ll post some pics when I get to a computer. I also think I had posted here the result of my efforts… about 10 years ago. I used this one:

My band is an acoustic/electric band. We don't use a traditional drum kit, however, we have a drumhead with our logo mounted to a small riser which is used by our primary percussionist (cajon, cymbal & hi-hat.)
Here's our logo:

We also just had a new Gobo made, as our "new" logo is much more intricate than the logo under our previous band name (we used a drumhead and Gobo previously as well.)

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to get so much detail into something the size of a quarter! It would have been great for us to have a full color glass Gobo made, but we just couldn't justify the expense. The metal Gobo was pretty affordable. Our first gig of 2025 is next month in a restaurant, so I believe we'll be able to use the Gobo for that gig.

BTW, we use the same Chauvet Gobo projector as posted by @DirtDog above. Please note this unit MUST be fully charged before you use it (you can't simply plug it in at the gig and expect it to work.)

For reference, here's our previous Gobo and drumhead from a few years back:

@happygilmour - Another option to share. Because our riser won't fit in some establishments (nor are some rooms optimal for a Gobo,) we ordered a 20" drumhead which can be mounted onto a mic stand.

Here's the drumhead:

The solution is lightweight, and everything breaks down easily for transport (the drumhead, rod and clamp fit into a large cymbal bag.)
