My buddies once played a coverband "talent" show as "Asbestos Sneaker."

And another pal always wanted to use the name "Hung Like Christ" - what a great double entendre... but I think I saw recently that someone ended up using that one.

My homies and I once formed under the name "Rotten Tunafish in a Bag." We didn't tour.

i know I already posted to this thread, but the Mauve Floyd thing reminded me of a good one.

I wanted to start a Pink Floyd tribute band called...

Floyd Where Prohibited.

Thank you, i'll be here all week.

and no, i'm not letting anybody use it. I still might, only not for a tribute band =0)

I like the asstronaut one too.

We couldn't decide on a name either, so because we have two attorneys (yikes!) in the band we called ourselves "Hung Jury" which means undecided. Actually, having the attorneys in the band has been a bonus, one of them is a county prosecuter and the other is a top -shelf defense attorney. we have our legal bases well covered.
and for some reason we are well supported by the law enforcement community...they show up in the bars and party HARD and the cash registers are always full at the end of the night, so the bar owners love us too.

for funky band : wonderful slippery thing

Whoa! That's atually pretty good. :hyper:

'Black Ice' is cool to me but I liked Kings of Sleep AND the Gibson book, so I was already partial.

'Electric Amish' and 'Irony Sucks' are both pretty interesting.

But the funniest one was 'Delayed' because in the medical world that is the current, politically correct, and acceptable way to say '********.' The whole phrase is 'developmentally delayed' but we always end up just saying 'delayed.'

Hello, already taken. They only had what 6 albums or so? Launched the careers of many a cool (now solo) artist. I'd dare go so far as to call them of being legendary status on the influential meter.

As far as my band names would go... I have always been partial to 24 ducks in a barrell.
You can't have my band name, but it rules too.... Blast Femur.
