The Helidoctors. They're a band from Wisconsin. I think they've played like 1 real gig. I listen to their album, "Full on" frequently. Btw i live in New York so its not just a local unkown band, im not sure how i found out about them honestly dont remember...

Sorry to burst your bubble. I've heard them.

The list of obscure bands is pretty endless. Somewhere in the world, at this very moment, a new band that you've never heard of is forming and giving itself a name....oh, there's another one...

Thing is, alot of the unheard of bands don't deserve to be heard of. They're just plain bad. You have to find the good ones.

+1, that's the hard part - finding unheard of bands is easy.
I personally have been listening to the muffs a lot lately, and I've seen the joys play a few times in town. Neither of them are too bad, but I'm not a big fan of the joys, and the muffs are hit and miss with their material. Of course, like all things pertaining to music, IMO. I'm not even sure how "unheard of" these bands are.

No one has ever heard about outside of Spain: Angelus Apatrida, AWESOME new thrash metal band, specially their 3rd album Clockwork, combination of megadeth, pantera, slayer, metallica and all teh good stuff.

Probably not well known outside UK/Europe: Evile, Straight up thrash, kickass, more agressive thrash the likes of kreator, exodus and that stuff.

Highly recomended check em out
