Bands that got better through time?

I'm kinda suprised that Tool has only been mentioned once here. I'm a big Tool fan (shut up, I know what that looks like) and think that they have only gotten better as time has progressed. Opiate is still a great album, but you can see the transformation in style ans technique over the course of the albums. Lateralus is, IMHO, one of the greatest rock albums of all time. The songs are creative, distinct, and carry a lot of meaning. The musician ship is excellent, with lots of variety in style and techniques, and a great deal of technical excellence. The production values are also good. The sound combination of Parabol/Parabola sends shivers down my spine. The sound of Maynard's voice combined with that low guitar sound really moves me.
