    Speaking of Motley Crue…

I get it’s a living, but didn’t you save any of your cash before Napster turned the music industry on its ear? What other bands need to stop milking their brand?

    Pearl Jam?

Wow, really? I think they still got it big time. I don't think anyone "needs" to retire. It's their prerogative to keep on keeping on. A lot of fans still go to see them.

I convert 4 string Rickenbackers to 5 string basses.
If you don't like what they are doing they don't buy their product

The Who. One of my favorite bands ever, but the loss of Entwistle left a hole that even one of the world's greatest bass players can't fill.

If Pete and Roger came up with a new name and only played new material, I'd be interested in that.

I have loved them from the first time I heard them. They are one of my all time favorite bands but they need to retire.
No John or Keith, Rogers voice is gone and Pete is deaf.

i'm TIRED of the same people getting awards EVERY year!!! your Beyoncè's, lil Wayne's, Miley's, & Taylor Swift's. i guess these Illuminati Slaves really did the "Sell your Soul" ritual. it's like being initiated into a gang. the music & film elite really do look out for their own, but if i see Beyoncè throw up the devil's "gang-sign" one more time,.... :( man, they even got that girl rapper Drake throwin' up the three six's in his video's, uggggg!!!:spit:

I'll agree on Metallica. Time is not doing them any favors.

Please no one say Rush. Those guys are playing better than ever. Geddy's voice is in, shall we say a different range, but their playing is still kicking ass!!

I'd guess a lot of 'em just like to play shows, besides the money. It's what they do, y'know?

I used to go to an old guy's barber shop...back when I had enough hair to bother getting cut. He was old school, and always chatted away while he was snipping away with the scissors. So I asked him one time when he figured he'd retire. He said, "And do what? Sit around the house and drink myself to death?"

    Like that.

Hearing ozzy's live performances for the 13 tour is just heartbreaking, If RJD was still around it'd be different. Everyone in that band has still got it except ozzy.

Alright. Ill bite. Wth are you talking about?

    ( bye bye thread .......)

Ftr: Taylor swift is actually fairly talented and writes and plays alot of her own material- which is super rare in Nashville.

Oh and on topic.... I agree the WHO should just call it quits. Love them. Respect them. But....yeah....

Some of this touring they are doing just may be motivated by the fact that Tony Iommi may not be around too much longer. It's probably hard to just stop doing what you have done for so long. Especially performers. The rush can be very addicting.

I've never seen/heard Ozzy sing that badly. I'm wondering if he was having a hard time hearing himself in the monitors or something along those lines.
