Yes, I should have said tube amps and old SS amps. I figure that most people who use SS have moved on to class D, which is very efficient. However, that is a big assumption on my part and not based on any real facts :atoz:

I still use tubes when I can. However, the "Red Head" amps really do compete with the tube heads (IMO/IME)!

I have the RH750 now. But it replaced the 450... And, I had them both for about a year comparing them...

I STILL prefer a real tube head whenever I can use one. But 9 lbs compared to 54 lbs, at my age, usually means class D. ;-)
