Bar Rigs---> Let's see em!!

I couldn't be happier with my rig right now.
Dingwall basses -> Axe-Fx II

From the Axe-Fx II, I have two options:
1) To FOH, and back to IEMs (preferred option, but not always convenient)
2) To FOH, and also to a QSC poweramp and my Audio Kinesis ThunderChild 118 cab

Not going to post pictures because well, they've been posted probably a hundred times on here, and it makes for long scrolling

Regardless of venue the SVT comes with me. Here's a pic from a small pub in the UK that holds no more than 50 people.
I don't play with it cranked up obviously but i cant get the same depth and quality from any other amp. And i have tried hundreds of amps over the last 30 years of giging.

2x10 + 1x15 Mesa Powerhouse and Streamliner 600 is usually enough for small-medium sized bars, for anything bigger pa support.

Is my rig of choice for all my needs.

Simplified signal chain is: Valenti S24FJ5->Arkham Sound Zephyr tube pre->Peavey IPR2 3k->LDS 15/6/1(x2)
I absolutely adore this rig! If it's a really small room, I'll just use 1 cab...

I've been using this Genz Benz NX212 cab with several different heads the past few years. The cab is great, and is plenty loud. I do go direct in the PA, but the rig would be loud enough without any additional help. The room holds about 3-400 people.

When i returned to bar gigging again, needed a rig and knowing I would almost always have stage volume only with no PA support, my goals were:
Quality/reputation.
Power with enough headroom for rooms large and small.
Lightweight and portable, no way do I want to return to the days of lugging heavy cab's, racks, heads, etc around.
I ended up with a GK MB212-ii combo, very easy to load in/out, @ 500 watts, it has huge amounts of power and volume if needed and a great tone. However, for the gig I play I sometimes want a more classic sounds, so my complete setup is as follows:
P-Bass w/flats => Diamond Compressor => Aguilar ToneHammer => GK
This set up is the best one I have had, very simple and quick setup and tones of eq options available.

Gk 410 rbx cab and a 1001 rbii head, no pa support necessary but always appreciated.

TC Electronic BH500 "500 watt" head into 2 BC2x12 cabs for the big bars or 1 cab for the medium sized bars...

And then the mini BG250-208 for the small acoustic shows.

Demeter HPB-1 into Crown XTI-2002 driving a Greenboy F212.
Not many rooms it won't carry, sounds great at low volumes as well.

Rh450 with rs210 and rs212. smaller shows I use my bg250 115 combo. we are playing a really small bar in a week and me and both guitar players are just bringing heads and going direct. Their tube amps have a great direct out option and can go speakerless. we all use iem's for monitors so we don't use the amps for much volume. I really want to pick up a bg250 208 again now that we run this way.

As a local original rock musician, I mainly play bar gigs and have to assume that I will have little to no PA support for the bass at a given gig. While we do play plenty of gigs with decent PA, I always need to be prepared to do without just in case.

Current rig is a pre/power rack (QSC GX5 powering BBE BMax or SansAmp RPM) and a pair of Markbass neo 4x10s. I got by with a 2x10 and 1x15 setup in the past, and then later a 2x10 plus 4x10, but this setup helps a lot when I need to keep up with two guitarists running distorted tube amps and 4x12 cabs.

Nice rig! I've been contemplating getting a second BG250-208 and removing the head and just using it as a 2x8 extension cab (although it does work well atop my 2x12!).

What would you guys suggest?

I am kinda leaning towards either a 4x10 SWR Goliath, or a Traynor 115210 with a Trainer DB300 watt head or a 500 watt SB500 if I can find one

Good choices so far, keep in mind though, that 11510 cab is 4 ohms, you would not be ablt to add another cab if it is lacking with either of those heads.

I would go for an 8 ohm 4-10, or 2-12, and you could add a second one in you need more volume.

Shuttle 9.0 & 2x GK Neo2 112 cabs. If I want to go smaller I just take one cab. Usually I stack them vertically. Light weight and loud.
