Hello!
I'm really curious as to how the new Darkglass cabinets compared to the known and loved Barefaced cabs, specifically the 410's. I'm an alternative rock/prog metal type guy and so I use some pretty heavy grindy distorted tones but also clean up for nice warmer tones so I'd hate a cabinet that sounds only grindy and a bit sterile. A strong low fundametal is also important as long as its tight and defined as opposed to boomy and flubby. The darkglass cabinets are supposedly designed to enhance distortion, which is very interesting to me, though I wonder if this is just marketing spiel.
I've only been able to find one comparison on youtube of the Darkglass DG410C compared to a Mesa Powerhouse 4x12, but I didn't think it to be an overly fair comparison because of the speaker size differently (though the Mesa sounded great from what I recall.) I'm currently running an SVT 2-Pro into an SVT 410HLF but looking to upgrade the cab because of the notorious boominess of the 410HLF.
As a bonus if anyone has any info regarding it, any opinions on Zilla or Hesu cabs for bass?
Thanks!
