Bartolini Mk.I - 18v Mod

Just a quick question for you guys;

Will running 18v into my Bartolini Mk.I preamp hurt anything? I know that most preamps that run on 9v will also run just fine at 18v, I just wanted to make sure first.

MkI is a proprietary model made for foreign made bass guitars like my SR600. You won't find it on the Bartolini website as the model only comes with guitars.

My Ibanez BTB has an 18V preamp stock. It depends on the pre amp you have but most op-amps can handle greater than 30volt power supplies so changing it should be possible. The only benefit would be that you could increase the gain of your circiut which will help you to overload your amplifier front end quicker.
