By which I mean no gain controls, or onboard preamplification through a padded mic input. I don't need or want mic preamps, but something with two dedicated unamplified line ins switchable to mic inputs would be fine. Anyone know of one? There are plenty once you get to 4 X 2 or 4 X 4 format, but I'm looking to keep this purchase in 2i2/UR-22 territory price wise (i.e. under $150 new)

Edit: sorted on my own, went with a 4 X 2 interface (UR-242) for $20 over my intended budget. Still curious though.

So what do you think of it? I'm about to press go on getting one to upgrade from an RCA-to-PCI sound card and analog 4-channel mixer. Seems simple and streamlined with good reviews. Almost considering bumping up to the UR44, but I'm not sure if I'll use that $100 jump.

Bass, v0x and mic'd guitars in a small joke studio -- seems like a good fit.
