Basket case body rehab !

I also vote for the cover, but I'd relic it by fuming it with some acid to knock down the shine so it doesn't look so new.

And a big heck yeah on the Mexican Lottery card sticker! I think you could call this bass el corazon from now on. The color is right, and it was obviously someone else's heart's desire before you used your heart to salvage it.

I would go with no cover/no pickguard, but this bass looks awesome, no matter what.

Also: I had a basket case body with crooked, sloppy holes for ferrules and one night I haphazardly poked some tiny dice in there and they wedged in there perfectly.

chili-con-carne.jpg

Hot + beef + mexican = Chili con carne? :D

Well, my girlfriend saw it and claimed it last night, so I guess it will not be used on this bass !

Girlfriends can be buzzkills sometimes :laugh::laugh:, so to hell with mexican food.

thanx a lot for sharing, great job

greetings

I like the cover look although it could be aged up a bit. The w/b/w guard looks a little vanilla to me. I'm thinking a parchment or mint guard but understand if you want to use what you have. Maybe some tea or coffee could darken it up a bit. I don't know what I'd do on the back but really didn't care for the sticker idea.
