Bass amp suggestions???

Hey guys,

I recently purchased my first Fender Jazz American Standard bass, which I am over the moon about! but now I need to update my rig.

Originally I was thinking of getting an Ampeg SVT410HE and running my peavey sessionbass head through it. I have been using a mates cab (the 410HE) and it sound great.

However now I'm thinking of going for an orange setup. I can get the Terror bass head and 4x10 cab for a really good price.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm also wondering if anyone has an opinion on whether the AD200B is that much better to invest in over the Terror Bass? The terror bass is in my price range but I'm wondering if it is that much better should I wait till I can afford the AD200B?

I can;t test any out here in Sydney at present and have been basing my opinions on youtube vids.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

living in sydney, as much as i love ampeg stuff, i would definitely be checking out cheaper options. orange stuff is well made and sounds good, so no prob there.

as for what head to get, only you can answer if tubes are important enough for you to pass on the terror. for me they are. for others, not so much.

Hey Guys,

So I ended up going for the Dave Eden WT405 head and a Dave Eden 4x10 cab.

Tube amps are out of my price range at the moment and after trying out Ampeg, Orange, GK, Mark Bass, Hartke, Ashdown and Eden i decided that the Eden sound was right for me!

Had my first jam with it today and it sounds great!
