Bass Amps not from China

Even though it's technically a "guitar head" a second-hand Quilter ToneBlock checks all your boxes (and sounds great with bass).
Over the past couple decades China has been sneakily buying up the electronics industry ( they produce over 95% of rare earth elements vital to electronics production..)
They also are taking over the drug manufacturing and supply business. (China RX is a scary read...)
And now the most concerning, the bass amp market!
Man, if we ever go to war with China us bass players are screwed!

To paraphrase what I have read from @agedhorse elsewhere, the components inside a "Made In [Any Country Here]" amplifier will be globally sourced, but it may be worth noting that the parts from China seem to have a noticeably higher rate of failure, fwiw. I do not know whether "Made in China" also means "more Chinese-made components than usual," also fwiw.
As it has been stated previously, old Peavey... alll day... long.
Traynor SB500 gets my vote too.. I have an SB200 and it's just crazy loud and sounds great 
If you happen to come in Montreal, I will sell you my Peavey Alpha 160w tube amp, with effects loop, made in USA, and for the money you are looking for

I think the hardware that we're all using right now to talk online was essentially entirely made in China. Maybe not the cases etc, but the components. Chips, motherboards, screens, network connectors, etc etc.
There are exceptions to that generality, of course, but they are few and far between.
If you believe that using anything from China is bad (I presume that feeling is based on morals, economy, and then the more sketchy points on how some things are done in China (the latest spying discussions, for example).... then I think it will be a challenge to continue using Talkbass. I am not disagreeing or agreeing with you, just thinking out loud.
Anyhow - it's a very interesting discussion. Glad to see there are some brands that are assembled in the USA and/or Canada still.. that's pretty cool
I personally love trayor and yorkville products (same company)... highly recommended.
The traynor tc112 neo cab is unreal, and I've used their guitar combos and higher priced bass heads and been continuously impressed. In the older days (90s) I played through a traynor bass combo in our practice space (it was my choice/rental decision) and it never ceased to please me.

My GK MB200 is made in China and it's my backup and occasional gigging amp, I've never had an issue with it...

Just sourced a GK MB200 from Honkey tonk. Thanks! I was leaning towards an old Peavey MKIII, but I was just too curious about the super light mini amps.
Depends...most will say "Designed In Sweden and manufactured in____". My EBS T90 is made in Hong Kong. Still is a killer amp and is bullet proof.
This thread is interesting because more and more companies will end up moving production overseas. Our (Americans) spending habits will dictate this process.
I'm sure 99% percent of the stuff in people's homes are made in China. I'm sure American made cars have peripherals that are made in China.
...before folks get mad and respond -- that Iphone/Samsung device is made in China. This is trivial. "I won't buy an amp (electronic) that's made in China but, I'll buy other high priced items (TV's, cellphones, and other electronics) that cost more from -- China.
