Double Bass Bass and Cello Duets?

So I have to perform a duet with a cellist for my orchestra project. My piano teacher said I would have a hard time finding any bass and cello duets, because they are seldom written. So he said just to find a piece written for two cellos and just play my part an octave higher.

Anyone know of any easier duets for us to play?

Like I said above it doesn't have to bass and cello, it could just be written for two cellos as well or really any duet arranged in bass.

The most famous duet is by Rossini. Look it up.

Get a copy of the Labro Bass Method. Long, long out of print. There are some bass cello duets in the back.

I've posted 4 of them in pdf format on my website here:

Bass should read the top line, cello the bottom line.

The Rossini is really fun and is a great piece, but it's pretty hard. There's also a duet for bass and cello written by Romberg. Not as difficult, but still fun. PM me if you want parts to either of these.

there is a book of 6 telemann sonatas, all played in canon. written for two instruments of any kind. there is an International edition for 2 basses. they're really fun pieces and not too hard
