I agree totally with this post!
I buy basses as a collector. As such, if its listed less than $1,100.00 or so, I pass without looking because I know it's not US and it's not a valuable piece. I only buy American or German built basses. It's my money and that's what I like. Most people buying a bass are probably looking for a good bass for playing, not collecting. I assume, at $400.00, most folks pass simply because most basses in that price range are in bad shape and I think they would rather buy a new Mexican Fender for $800.00. If your beautiful looking LB70 is in great condition, I advise raising your asking price to $750.00. That's what its worth in my opinion and even though you may have to wait a bit, I think you'll walk away happier and have learned something of patience.
