It's the other way around. A collector doesn't want to sell. A player buying a tool wants to limit his investment and replace his tools at minimal cost, therefore he cares for re-sale value.

I can say this with 100% certainty...my Carvin /Kiesel...is every bit as pro gear as a Fender Jazz, or P bass...how do I know that? I've owned a P bass...a 78 P bass..and I have played a few J basses. wanted to buy one until I played the last one I tried the same day I bought the Carvin..the Carvin was flat out a better bass to my hands and ears..So...no its not worth what the P bass was, or a J bass in a re-sale but I am not looking for a bass to sell it...that idea is foreign to me...is it my last one ever...NO...I need a Steiny L2 and a 5 string G Gould or a modulus. Then I will be done buying basses...I swear
I've owned at least 20 basses, most of them high-end customs. Of the ones I've sold, my Fender Roscoe Becks (both bought used from GC) sold for more than I paid for them.
If you don't want to take a bath on selling basses, buy them used at a good price. Of the high-end basses I've sold I was lucky if I got 70 percent of what I paid for them. It was usually less. Fortunately I don't consider my basses an investment.

It doesn't work that way, though. We name the things we already love for some reason.
I have a Carvin PB4. Had it built at Carvin factory. Waited 4 months for it. Don't know what I was thinking ordering Seafoam green. It looked better on the website than in person. Still, it's got the nicest neck of any of my 6 US basses. It sounds amazing. Unless you're just tired of it or something is wrong, you should just keep it. It looks really nice.

I have more of an interest for other basses out there, and wish to sell this one to get some money towards another one I would care for more.
I have definitely made my decision on that.
If you're close to a Guitar Center, maybe they will trade it in on a new bass? Not sure since they don't exist here in Alaska.
Well since it is a custom bass I feel they wouldn't give me squat for it, but I am selling it in three different places, and no one wants it for even 400
Is there something wrong with it? Seams like a very low price for an LB70. If it's in excellent condition, I bet you could get a much better price from GC. You really should at least ask them.
I might give it a try, but with my experience with guitar center, I wouldn't get more than 100 for it I'm sure.

On reverb I have it at 470.
I really hate letting it go for anything less than 500
I think the market is saying that it’s not worth that. Anyways, good luck with the sale. And I wasn’t posting to get a better price, I’m not a buyer at $20.
Patience isn't my strong suit.
I'm sure if it doesn't sell I'll end up lowering the price drastically.
