Bass by accident

my bro was dating this one chick and her friend, brother, and her were gonna start a band and they needed a drummer. i played drums. anyways my brother and his girlfriend were gonna try to hook me up with her friend who played bass. i never saw what she looked like but i always pictured a hot girl with a bass guitar and decided i wanted to play bass. when i did i was happy with enough with the bass. the band never happened anyways which im kind of glad because id never be able to afford the gas for the distance practice would be.

Well, i picked up bass when i was about 12, my dad being a guitar player and wanting me to learn an instrument. i chose it cuz at the time i thought it sounded cooler and i didn't know anybody who played it, but everyone knew how to play guitar. my dad ended up pressuring me too much and killed all the fun in bass for me, so i sold it.
Then i moved to Hong Kong, wher ei am now. Soon as i got here, i became friends with a bunch of music guys, and really started my delving into music. This stuff led me back to bass, and within the first month or so i bought a new one, a mexican made Fender Standard Jazz. i guess i hadn't been ready for bass before, cuz all of a sudden i couldn't believe id ever even thought of giving up, it was jsut so awesome. me and th ebass, we clicked. definite connection. now i know ill never give it up. shame on me for that the first time...

Well, was a 6 grader sittin' in my Iron Maiden t-shirt on math exam, suddenly someone was calling my name. I looked behind. Heaven sent friend asked me if i was playing anything. "No my friend, let's make a bend, i'll b the bass!"
First time that dream was something possible to me =) ( hard financial state )
So another friend called me, told me that he has a very cheap bass from Germany to sell. Man, I was flying those days :hyper:
