Double Bass Bass-cabinet for a EA doubler?

Hi fellow bassnerds! I'm wondering what you guys suggest to combine a Euphonics Audio "the doubler" bass head with? I'm most interested in getting a good sound with my Upright bass. But I also want it to work fine with the Electric bass.

What type of music/gigs do you need it for? I have a MAS46 and MAS26 made by Mike Arnopol, and I'm in love with them. They sound great with both DB and electric. Very true-sounding cabs with nice, quick response. I use the 26 for 90% of my gigs and keep the 46 in the rehearsal space unless I need more volume. I use an Acoustic Image head, but ran a Doubler for a while, and I bet it would go well with a MAS cab. I ditched the Doubler because I wanted more wattage.

I use the newer Micro with one or two Wizzy 12 cabs. It works well with both electric and upright, and I like the flip-down bottom stand for added clarity and hearing the sound.

Okay, i may have a "EBS Neoline 112 evolution PRO" on the hook. Anyone with experience?

I don't think you can go wrong with just about any of the older EA VL Series cabs.

I have a MAS46 and MAS26 made by Mike Arnopol, and I'm in love with them. They sound great with both DB and electric

+1. I seriously second that. I have a MAS26, and it's nothing short of the bomb. It's truly wonderful for double bass and electric.

PS tyb507, knowing how loud and powerful the 26 can go, I'm a little scared of the 46, must be a wrecking ball.

I believe Mike Arnopol was involved with the development of the EA Doubler, abs I know he's quite familiar with the amp. I sold mine a year or two ago, but I will have a MAS cabinet or two in the near future.

Was it Mike Arnopol or Mike Dimin? I thought Mike Dimin was working with EA.

Mike Arnopol helped design/spec the Doubler. He does not work for EA though and as pointed out makes the fabulous MAS range of cabs.

EA cabs......... VL-110, VL-208(pricy) or the Wizzy M. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I'm a big fan of the 12" Wizzy Mline. I haven't the MAS cabs, but from all the cabs I've used the Mline Wizzy is by far the best for upright. I would certainly give it a try if you can test them out.

I have both the Wizzy 12 cab and a MAS 45. Both are great for upright, the best I have ever used, but I give a slight edge to the Wizzy. Fuller and deeper on the very bottom, IMHO. The MAS 45 is nearly as good and is lighter and easier to carry.

I had great results with one or two EA VL-110s as hifibass stated above. Also good experience with one Accugroove Tri 112. The Acme flatwound 112 4 ohm was great with the Doubler.
