I really don’t think cables change your sound all that much. I look more construction and durability. Been pretty impressed by Pig Hog recently. They are reasonably priced and built like absolute tanks

Bass Cables - Which ones are worth it?

I notice more difference with guitar honestly. The main impact of capacitance is on high end. Additionally, I believe that active basses are supposed to be less affected by cables due to their output
I like CBI cables for most of my stuff. have had some for over 10 years and look/work like new. made in the USA

I use Lava cables but have only bought them when they were having a big sale. Their regular prices are nuts.
I'd wager that no matter how much you spent on your cable, if it's ever touched your elbow while you coiled it up it won't last as long as you expect.
Guitar center cables. They work, free Replacement.
I think you should by cold-pressed uni-directional picofarad-rich artisanal cables only - if they don't cost at least 25$/ft, they're not worth it. It makes your tone better, your basslines better, and the chicks dig the extra picofarads.
But really, a decent, well-made cable that won't fall apart under regular use will do the job just fine.

No I haven't used those yet.
I've used the Mogami and Canare cables. I like them both.
I also use Amphenol connectors too.

I have a few cables that I bought at Chuck Levins in the '80's. One crackles a bit if I walk on it and the rest all still work flawlessly. Whirlwind printed on them.
I prefer an angled plug for my P bass so I bought a couple of Ibanez cables from Sweetwater a couple of years ago. Twenty foot cables for about 12 bucks each. They are both still going strong.
edit: just checked the Sweetwater site. Don't see the Ibanez ones anymore but on page 9 I found D'Addario ones for around 15 bucks. Also saw some 20 foot cables for over 100 bucks. Seriously?

Are they angle plugs?
Back in 2001 I bough a Monster cable with a 90 degree angle plug.
The wires in the angle plug kept shorting out.
Constantly.
And I would repair them.
And it would short out again.
I eventually went and bought a cheap Music-Go-Round angle plug and never had a problem since.
The point is:If I'm going to spend top dollar on a cable,it better have no problems.
I recently bought 10ft and 20ft Kirlin Premium plus cables from Musicians Friend. So far, so good... they sound good for recording and are noise/hum free.
I've been using Whirlwind instrument cables for decades. Great cables; I use their Leader series.
Yeah, same here. I can't hear a difference between their house brand and the few cables I have that I spent a bit more on. Just a few weeks ago I found a cable that had stopped working. Brought it into my local GC and swapped it out. No Issues.
