Bass Cake

MikeyFingers said:
That's the greatest cake I've ever seen! I want one for my wedding, but it would have to be a Jazz bass.

Don't tell the baker it's for your wedding though. Tell them it's for a birthday or special occaision. As soon as you say wedding they double the price. We were quoted 2xs the price for a wedding bass cake than for the exact same sized cake made for a regular occaision. Huge eye opener. :eyebrow:

Looks like the neck needs a little tweak there...needs a little tighten!

just kidding, looks great!

The neck was baked by WishBass. :p
Now I'm just being mean. But seriously though, it's a little to straight to be a Wish neck.

My birthday was last month, and my wife surprised me with Variax cake below. :D

She really went all out making this, from the inspired use of Rolos for knobs and Mentos for tuners, to the chocolate hardware, fretboard and (awesome) tortoiseshell pickguard. Oh, the strings are "Fruit Streamers".

Mmm mmm.

Love the Line6 Piccolo Varicake, so does my wife. She also loves the Rolo knobs.
Your tension appears to be higher than mine. It looks like a righty strung lefty. Nice attention to detail w/the thumbrest.

Then my wife tells me to write, "Isn't it amazing how much your women love you". "Would you make a cake in the shape of a shoe for us?"
