I bought my #1 bass brand new from them at a great deal below what they had listed on the site. I even called on New Years Day hoping to leave a message and Beaver answered the phone. I'll definitely buy from them again.

I've purchased more than once from Beaver and the boys and it was a smooth transaction all times. For those looking for the absolute rock bottom price, have you ever given any thought to how much money they have tied up in inventory? Do you really want the best possible price and have the exact item you want in stock? Let's be realistic.

Wow, a lot of puppy dogs, balloons and sunshine being spewed here. What I don't get is why they consistently show web pricing 20% to 25% above market. I've gotten to the point of not even including them in the review process of new purchases. Yes, I get the calling them concept but my first review is done via web pricing and emails. Ironically they handle most of what I've purchased in the last 5 years or so: Lull, Alembic, Roscoe, Smith, etc... I just can't get past the margins. Yea I hear they are stand-up to deal with and that is definitely worth paying a little more for. I know I have many times not gone with the lowest price to have that piece of mind that I'm dealing with a decent distributor. I just can't get past their prices. Even their special sheet pricing is 10% to 15% higher than market.

Really? I've never bought from BC, but I scan their site regularly because of their massive inventory. I generally look at Laklands (US and Skylines), and to a lesser degree Sadowsky, Lull and EBMM models. I haven't noticed the prices listed on their site being higher than anywhere else I visit--certainly not 20%-25%.
