Bass central

I've bought six basses and a preamp from them. Always pleased with the products and the service. I've always dealt with Beaver, who has done well by me. By the way, all these sales were by phone, everything had to be shipped, and everything arrived in a timely manner, well-packed, and undamaged. What more could one ask for?

Great company. I purchased a bass guitar several months back and decided that I didn't like it. Thus, after a few days playing with it, I returned it without any problems; although I paid the return freight and re-stocking charges (which is normal).

I also purchased a couple Bergantino A112 cabinets and love them.

I am not sure, but check to see if they are still offering a 5% discount to TalkBass members (discount doesn't apply to all products - like my Bergantino's).

Good luck on your new bass. What are you getting?

P.S. I also dealt with Beaver; in addition to a guy named "Grasshopper". Great people to work with!!!

Time to break up this party. Flame me all you want.

They have great, responsive service. I swapped over 40 emails for my last purchase at BC, and their replies came extremely fast.

When all was said and done, however, the "new" Lakland I bought from them had worn frets all over the neck, and it came with a ski slope near 15th fret. Took a good fret job to fix the problem (because Lakland's warranty didn't cover it).

What's interesting is that it came with a non-standard pickguard, but THAT was brand new, as far as I could tell, and it still had the clear plastic over it.

Take my story however way you want. My anecdote's just a drop in the bucket. Even I don't know how to feel about this whole ordeal. Thankfully, at the end of the day, my bass is still a keeper! :bassist:
