Hey guys. Just a quick question!

I'm going to be buying a new Lakland 55-02 in the next month or so. Just so happens BassCentral.com has the exact model I want. So I'm just curious to see if anyone has used them. Good experiences? Bad experiences? Seems like a really focused bass dealer with some very nice products.

As a matter of fact, I bought a 55-02 from Bass Central around 5-6 years ago. And, as a matter of fact, the salesman I dealt with was TB's very own Gard (though he doesn't work for Bass Central anymore).

It was a very easy transaction and I got some great service from them, getting questions answered, helping me figure out which model I should get, and getting the exact finish/fingerboard combination I wanted.

Highly recommended.

EDIT - the 55-02 I bought is the one in my avatar, which I should really get around to changing. I sold that bass about 4 years ago. :(

I've purchased several basses from them and it's always a good experience. Now, when you say they have a particular bass in stock, did you call and ask them or is it on their website?

I ask b/c the one thing that they don't do well is update their website to keep it current with items in stock.

Hmm good point. I'll have to call. Hopefully either way I'll be able to get the combinations I want. I still have a month or so before I get it, but I'll remember to find out for sure.

They are definitely legit and run a smooth operation. Beaver (co-owner) is very knowledgable and generous with his time.

I bought a Demeter preamp over the phone after seeing it on their website. You do need to call to see if that bass is still available.
