Bass clef song books covering E string?

I want to practise sight reading melodies in bass clef. I bought the book "101 Most Beautiful Songs" for trombone, and it is almost exactly what I was after except that the lowest note it uses is the equivalent of an open A. Does anyone have a suggestion for a similar book that would cover at least down to an open E (it's OK if there are some lower notes as well, I'd just skip them)?. It doesn't need to be a trombone book, but I don't want any TAB.

Finding sheet music, at least for me is tricky, I also prefer sheet music, but the best would be Hal Leonard and websites like Sheet Music Plus. I also would avoid trombone books, Trombones go into very low notes and some trombones have F-Attachments that lets them play even lower. Though I found some of the Rochuts great which is a standard for low brass.

Thanks. I think I have found one for double bass without tab. The cello suggestion is good, thanks, and also the suggestion of looking for melodic studies.

The Real Book 6th edition has the treble clef melody -- in bass clef. I think that may help.
