Bass Dance Effects Live Pedal

Been fiddling with my GT-10B for about 4 days now, have found some really great tones, and quite alot of usable effects in here. The only thing I am having trouble doing is assigning my CTL1/CTL2 pedals, and the expression pedal, I cannot figure out how to get all of these to do what I want. Sometimes it controls the effects, sometimes it controls a wah, sometimes it controls volume, and sometimes it does nothing, lol. Any help with this?

Do I need to purchase a USB cable for the PC software? Where can I get it at?

Just an ordinary printer style USB cable from GT-10B to PC, and install the USB drivers from the Boss site, then set the GT-10B to "advanced driver mode" by pressing the GT-10B system button and scroll >>> to USB, press Enter and set the mode.
Then from the GT-10BFxFloorBoard software menu > preferences, select the GT-10B as the midi device (after the GT-10b driver is installed) and away you go..
