this is not my bass. but i really wish it was. a year or two ago, i ran into a picture of it on another forum and was smitten. wouldn't you know it, two weeks later the actual bass showed up on eBay. and of course i didn't win. i die a little bit every time i think about that. anyway, this is by far the ultimate piece of bass wallpaper porn.

hmm it looks as if the t-rod is accessed from under the finger board at the body end thats really sweet

Take this one, or one like it with a full bass and set it as center on a black background. With your icons on one side you won't be unhappy with the effect. It doesn't work with the cut off bass' but with a full pic, you just extend the background.

Not my basses (obviously!) but if you go to the Alembic Featured Custom Archive page [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] they have wallpaper-sized jpegs in 5 different screen resolutions available for all 120+ basses listed! (I used to have a Series II 8-string as my desktop picture until I started using a pic of the custom bicycle I ordered last year instead.)
