I am so eternally infected with achieving the bass sound ghat is in my head!
I am trying to decide on which part of my arsenal to use for an outdoor charity gig next Satuday. This weekend the 2-1x15" cabs come out.

As this is a verry comfortable problem, I often have the same. Having several cabs, amps and basses I sometimes stay for hours in the rehearshall-room, looking for relief with this Question...

Where is the gig? Is it open air or indoors? How big is the venue actually? Did I play there before, any experiences with the akustik of the venue? Which of my three bands is playing? What kind of sound/amp/cab will suit band and venue? What basses shall I take with me?

Ooooh, live is not easy - but good!

Wow, nice stuff. What are you workin with there? Mainly what's the tube head there?

I'll be forever trying to get that tone out of my head but it's fun as hell trying new things. Sucks its so expensive to try all these things. I don't have enough money.

I wis h I had a traynor! Haha I have a yorkie bassmaster 400. I will eventually buy a tube head. Not anytime soon, maybe next tax season. But I will have one. Just trying to narrow it down to a couple to make a decision.

Yes, I enjoyed my yorkie for many years. It's def has been a workhorse for me. I just fixed the old cab it came cause I blew out both 12's in it. I put a couple of 12's from my fender bassman in it and use it as a practice rig. Turned out pretty nice actually.

When you removed the Pignose from the combo did you keep the 15" around as an extra cab? Ever play electric guitar through it?

I've got a PF500 and I'm considering the Pignose combo as a tube head that could work double duty for guitar and bass when paired with different cabs.

I had the Bassmaster 400 (Yorkie era) as a 2x10 combo and was great - should have never sold it.

Have a YBA200-2 now that I absolutely love after changing 12AX7's to 5751"s and the KT88's to Gold Lions. Traynors are frickin' bulletproof and easy to get great tone from.

The yorkie was my first "real" head. I'll never sell it. It's worth more to me than anyone would ever give me for it. The input jack to plug in an active bass still works just fine, it's just missing the plastic nut around the quarter inch hole. I'd think that would knock the price down a bit. Again, not worth selling. It's too good of a back up.
