Bass Fret buzz only on certain frets

Hi guys

I've got a Dean Edge 5 string, and as much as I love it, it buzzes badly at certain frets, but not all of them, it's mainly 12th and 22nd fret that buzzes horribly. Does it need setting up or can I just raise the action of the strings to stop it? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers!

12th and 22nd, it looks like your neck has too much relief.
That or you have a lifting fretboard end, likely cause by a misplaced pocket shim.

It could also just be a couple of high frets. Could be fixed with a rubber mallet if the frets aren't fully seated in the slots (don't try this yourself if you don't know what you're doing), or you may need to have the frets filed. Either way it wouldn't hurt to take it to a qualified luthier or repair shop.

You can raise the action, but you'll still have a couple of bad frets that you haven't dealt with. Yes, it needs a setup at the very least.
