Pull your head outta your ass man, those are some amazing looking basses. think, like, what do Warmoth assembly threads have to do with lutherie? Nothing. But theres a million of em on the board. This is some fine, fine work. Woodwork, or not.
Some of those look WAY off. The pickups, bridge, and neck don't even come close to lining up. The designs are interesting but can I suggest skateboards as a different medium.
Also why is there no write up on how you decorated the basses? All Show and NO tell?

Ok....look to the top of the page, subforum listing is Luthiers corner, and something about it having to do with INSTRUMENT CONSTRUCTION...not how you decorate an old hacked up instrument in art class.
Also, this is the OP's only post, using a commercial type handle, this is bordering on an advertisement, but I am also guessing you haven't read any of the guidelines and rules for this forum including the CUP which all of us have to abide by.
geez - didn't realize there were so many hall monitors on TB . . . I typically dont look at how many posts people have before I tell them something looks cool. and no-one is trying to sell me one of these so . . .
I think the thumb-esque on the bottom looks pretty darn cool . . . if it's in the wrong forum I don't see the harm in kindly letting the op know where to post. Rules or not, this IS a public forum and common decency should apply.

Well my little Cavatappi friend, we as builders can NOT just display our work without giving description, and detailed accounting of the material, and technique used, be it the newb doing a parts guitar, or some of us who own businesses. That is the idea, and the rules. Many builders have had stuff removed for just this reason. We are not all high schoolers here looking for the "dude that's cool" ego pump. We actually exchange ideas, technique, jigs, and material assessments here in order to make things easier, and more efficient for those here actually interested in the BUILDING of instruments.

The beauty of this forum is it gives us a vehicle to share thoughts and processes with one another, learn and better hone our skills. I dont think that any of these comments were ment to be offensive but this post is probably misplaced within this website.

Do you still appreciate this as an artist? Someone wants to render what would be playable instruments and plans to sacrifice them for the sake of putting graphics on things that will never see an audience again.
Perhaps we can all hang one on our fridge.
Being critical of things is how improvements are made. Not being critical will allow anything come to market.

listen - I get it. the luthier's corner has some serious cats in it. i'll make sure never to post in here again as I dont make basses. all the dude did was post some pics and he got ripped a new a hole. I dont care how high up on the food chain you are it's just RUDE! there's a thread going on in "basses" showing pages of basses just like this one! A simpe - "Hey - this is the wrong forum can you move to "basses"" would have been sufficient!
