I tune my P Special Deluxe and ESP 5-string to alternate tunings. My Maestro fretless, Fender HM, and P Elite II are tuned standard. My ESP is tuned up to DADGC - .110 .085 .070 .050 .035. My P Special Deluxe is downtuned to BEAD - .130 .105 .085 .070. I used to tune the P Special to drop D, and the .110 fit the nut fine. Just had to adjust the truss and intonation a little bit. Obviously, the current tuning is seated a little high. I suppose I should alter the nut next changing day. It's just never really bothered me.

why would you tune the 5 string to d and the 4 string to b, and did the .110 work well for drop d or would a .115 or .120 work better
