bass head advice for a drummer

Hey everyone.

So here is my situation. Sorry if I leave out some important details, slightly new to (loud) bass amplification.

The band I currently play in has two old Acoustic (the brand) bass cabs. Both are 4x12, I believe. I'm stepping out from the drums to play bass and need to purchase a head. I'm currently looking at the GK 700RB-II. I know split (at 8 ohms) it's 320 watts. Is that enough? I'll be using both bass cabs. Playing a p-bass with pick. I have a head-case for a head.

My main concern is just that the head is powerful enough for both cabs. It's pretty loud rock/punk-rock stuff. Link Removed if you need an idea.

Thanks for dealing with a newb, guys!
Appreciate any help!

You'll have enough power. I don't know what the impedance is on your Acoustic cabinets--is it 8 ohms each or 4? If they're 8 ohms each you'll be running into 4 ohms using both cabinets and will get full power from the GK. But if they're 4 ohms each you won't be able to use both together. Check that out first.

Don't worry about trying to use the GK Horn Management System. That's designed for the GK cabs.

Assuming the speakers in your Acoustic cabinets are okay you'll be pretty loud.
