Apparently this one takes a balanced or unbalanced signal in line 1, 2/3 and 4/5. Just get an XLR to 1/4" TRS cable and plug in.
I'm looking for a small mixer like this. I'd like to connect the bass head using its D.I. out. Is it possible?
Or better, if not, is there a similar mixer with a D.I. in?

Before we go any further, what kind (brand and model) of bass head are we talking about? Most have an XLR line out already. If yours doesn't, we'll need to know exactly what kind of outputs it does have.
Home usage only (practising with headphones, additionally sometimes sending the audio to the pc to record something). No need of additional features like EQ, Comp etc.And what do you need it for? What outputs will you send where and what other inputs do you need? Do you need additional features like EQ, Comp, HPF etc ?
The VT Bass DI will work with the mic in of the Xenyx.

You might want to look at the Behringer Flow 8 for a second. It offers a few nice features and doubles as your DAW, so you can have everything in one box. I use that for my home rig. My eDrums, My bass amp and my pedalboard are permanently connected and I have a monitor wedge and headphones on there, too. For recording I just connect the laptop to the USB port .
If you just want the mixer, basically any 8 channel mixer will do. I've had a behringer before the Flow 8. One that's around twenty bucks on the used market.

I don't see the problem. XLR from the amp DI output into XLR on the mixer. Then use the mic channel input gain to set the correct gain into the channel. You may need to turn the gain down quite a bit, but that's why the control is there.
