Bass ID Help Please

Craig Setari from Sick of it All, Agnostic Front, YoT, SA, Cro-Mags, etc. The bass pictured here:

It looks like a P-Bass body, but the black around the edge looks great. Pretty sure it's custom, but I was hoping that someone here may be able to identify the logo(?) on the headstock.

It's great looking bass IMO, and Setari could make any bass sound great. It's driving me absolutely nuts, and has been for a long time.

Any assistance with the identification of the bass manufacturer is greatly appreciated!

Looks like an Ibanez SRX body with a Fender type neck. But it's hard to tell from the photo.

Its not an Ibanez body - too beefy. It looks like an Aerodyne binding-type finish on a Precision Special, as it has both a P and J pickup.

I love the look of basses with squared edges and binding, I just don't like the way they feel.



Since the player is who it is, let me share a little story... I'm 15, going for my first bass lesson and my teacher asks me what kind of music I plan to play, or if there are any songs that the bass appeals to me. I happened to have an AF tape in my bag, so we throw it in and listen to the opening line for "Out For Blood", which prompts some rolling of the eyes. He listens for a sec and then plays it the first time, the right way and I am immediately both in admiration of the teacher, as well as humiliation for throwing up something so pedestrian as what I want to sound like or play. To a 15 year old who had never held an instrument before, it was like magic. In hindsight, it's kind of funny how green I was.
