Michael that is stellar. Can you point to how your approaching the changes? Are you playing by ear or is there a particular book you got the changes from ?

Thank you Bob, it was so much fun to do. The changes I’m playing are derived from different sources. I might have seen a sheet at some point in the distant past, but it mainly comes from hearing different recorded versions, and also playing it with different people and their changes to get a sense of the possibilities. This particular version, Sonny is so crystal clear in what he’s doing that following him was pretty easy, and I’ve been living with this track for so long that it’s like second nature

Edit: I should say, the verse changes are a little unusual, they may have been shown to me, I can’t remember. AND, I’m playing slightly different changes on the head and on the solo. The melody I’m doing the standard I-II-III and back down thing on the top of the A, on the solo it’s more 1-6-2-5

The only thing Don, in the second half of the 5th bar Sonny plays a lot of F#s, so I decided he was playing a D7 there, and that’s what I did, though often I played an A. So for the 5th and 6th bar I’d say |Bb D7|G-7| then what you’ve got. I’d also say, your changes are what I’ve played 99% of the time, it’s just in this instance Sonny is so clearly implying D7 with all those F#s

Edit: And like I said before, on the solo I’m really walking |Bb G7|Cm F7| for the first four bars of the A’s, not that stepwise thing
