Double Bass Bass-less standards for play along?

Hey all - hope you are staying healthy & well!

I’m looking for your favorite jazz standards records that have no bass - but good tempo - to swing along with.

I’ve discovered some delightful Monk solo piano recordings and some straightforward Beegie Adair sessions. Also finding a bunch fine solo jazz guitar stuff.

Of course there are some outstanding Bill Evans recordings but some of those can get a bit abstract in the time & harmony concept.

A lot of these records have been off my radar since I’ve always gravitated toward collecting trios & quartets with groovy bass & drums. But now with the miracle of Spotify, I’m trying to fill in the holes and update my repertoire.

Suggestions?

Thanks all - I’m digging the Red Garland and Marcus Roberts solo records. That Lee Konitz stuff gets a little out there ... but I found a cool Lee Konitz / Alan Broadbent record that’s more straight ahead.

Yes thanks all for the contributions - keep them coming! I often play along with recordings but thought it would be beneficial to step out of my comfort zone and listen (and play to) some sans-bass recordings.

This certainly applies to a lot his burning records but I am finding some that are “polite” and manageable for me. Great suggestion!

Not sure it is exactly what you are looking for. But my go to option is to search for solo pieces of standard. I know Chris Potter as a bunch online from masterclass with well known standard.

At approx 6:00 he modulates up a half-step - he's in Amajor/F#min for a few choruses until modulating back to Abmaj/Fmin at about 8:30....because he's Chris Potter and he can.
IMFO, of course.
I never tire of listening to this.
