bass line to "Synchronicity"

I really like The Police and have been playing along with some of their stuff. "Synchronicity" ("Synchronicity 1") is absolutely one of my favorite songs...Stewart Copeland's drumming just gives it this intense, driving quality that literally gives me goosebumps...but man, it's just so fast, I have a hard time counting it out as I play. It's in 7/8, is that right...? :eyebrow: I dragged it into Pro Tools and EQed it to try and bring out the drums a bit more so I can keep up, but every time I think I've got the timing, I fall off it again. Any tips or tabs on this one?

All I can say is lock in to that snare and keep picking those eighth notes. It's 4/4. Stay relaxed. I can hear even Sting drop it in some parts. Dont' listen to the keys at all, the accents will throw you off.. That's my 2 cents. I agree the drums are wicked in that cut.

Imagine playing and singing that at the same time, at Giants Stadium, with Stewart speeding it up...
