Isn't this simply a new way of marketting things like the Korg Pandora and the plethora of similar multi-FX that ultimately all sound like arse compared to individual pedals?
Looks inneresting but at the end of the day it's still a multi-FX with (probably) only a few mint-sounding patches, the rest sounding fun in the bedroom until you realise that in a band setting they really don't...

You see, you can fully edit the patches (endless routing posibilites). Also you can edit them via USB, and load future patches onto it via USB. You can also digitaly share your own patches... Very freaking cool...

It looks pretty nice. I like menus much more than forests of knobs and LCD screens are becoming uncommon on effect units.
I just wonder why engineers always forget THE little thing that would turn a good idea into a must have.
In this case, what happened to the expression pedal, or at least the plug to install one ?

Interestingly enough I just got the purple non-bass unit on the Bay delivered today. My first impressions are very good. Personally I don't go for the bass only effects, they tend to be too conservative, I'm looking for wacky as well as straight ahead FX.
And the editor is quite easy to use and fully functional. And no sucking of the low end out of my sound at all. I was looking for a one pedal small solution, rather than lugging my rack or laptop out on my regular gigs. I didn't buy it for the distortions but I must say they are very usable. Hey check one out, I love the fact that it's so editable and robust and the sound is really very nice. Try one if you get a chance.

I dunno, I think I still prefer my mis-mash of odd single pedals that all sound primo (well, for the most part).Might be good for a laugh, although prolly by the time it makes it's way down here the price will be a little prohibitive to splash out on something to "play" with...
This will be great for those late night hotel jam & poractice session.

Hey man, I never said I wanted to get rid of my stomps... I own more single stompboxes here than anyone else, and I generaly hate multi's... I am just interested in the rack quality reverbs and delays for the most part. I could have every reverb I ever wanted in that little box...
Multi effects will never replace my udels of analog gear, but this one may be along for the ride...

I was just about to buy a UB99... is the Bass MS going to have the crazy multitap delays and assloads of reverb that the UB99 does? I'm mainly interested in that end of it's capabilities, but a "free" ringmod wouldn't hurt me, and I'm sure a billion patches could come in handy.
OK, how much is this thing going to sell for?
Not being familiar with the guitar version, just how good are the effects? Marginally better than a Zoom MultiFX, or almost as good as excellent individual stomp boxes?
