I learned so much from Coyote and RoadRunner. Don't eat "free" anything, don't play with catapults, don't ride rockets, don't take Earthquake pills, carefully inspect tunnels before attempting to run through, avoid Acme mail order items...
Some say no real world application, but I have evidence to the contrary.

I sold my Acoustic 370 via Spaceman Music Store - Used and New Instruments For Sale Online, so I never met the buyer. When I went to get the check I was told it was sold to a young guy in a punk band who was very happy with it.

I bought my Acoustic 370 head and 301 bottom brand new in 1976 and it was not cheap. It was $880, which was a lot back then. I played a 1975 Rickenbacker 4001 through it and it sounded terrific. It was so loud that I could not turn it up past 2-1/2 to 3. I got rid of the huge cabinet because it was too heavy to lug around and I went with a Carvin bottom I loaded with 2 EV 15s, which I still use. I still played through the Acoustic 370 head since it had the best sound of any amp I ever had. I still have the head but it's too heavy and I now use an Acoustic B600h head that sounds good but not as good as the 370 head.
I had my 370 head worked on a few times. Original 370 heads are still in very high demand.
Maybe the one you used had something wrong with it.
I can't understand how he's happy with it.
It has no volume, no bite, no punch, no dispersion, no highs, only farty mids and weak bass.
And yes I checked it was no broken
But thinking about it it's only normal, I would not realistically expect anything else from a single ancient (and rear-facing) 18".
