That is truly bass face. :dead:

Back in the eighties the singer for the band I was in had an ego problem. He would place himself in front of anyone he thought might be getting more attention than him. I have always been pretty active on stage - never one to stand in the same place or to stare at my feet. On a gig in a popular small-town venue the band was tearing it up and as I swung my bass around, said lead singer (not paying attention) strutted directly into the path of a high-velocity headstock. It was a memorable moment and a self-correcting problem from that point forward. He had imprints of my tuning keys in his forehead along with some really awesome bruising. After the show we threw-down in the parking lot and I added some dotted eyes to compliment his nifty tuner imprints. By the end of the year the band had split up due to drugs, alcohol, egos, etc...

Suddenly I find the idea of joining a band less attractive ...

No sir.

Suddenly I find the idea of joining a band less attractive ...

Don't let that put you off. This was the eighties where instead of eating our Wheaties for breakfast we were doing lines and hits for breakfast. We were always stunned (and somewhat miffed) to find that any of us were still alive when we woke up any given day. I left that lifestyle behind me long ago which is probably why I am still alive. Only the lead guitarist and I are still living - the others succumbed to drugs or AIDS. The lead guitarist and I still text each other every morning at 8:00 am sharp with the exchange of "Morning Sam - Morning Ralph" just to make sure we are still alive.

Most importantly, good to hear that you survived and have kept that lifestyle behind you. And good you have your guitarist friend to support each other.

But you get bonus points for working the Wiley Coyote / Sheep Dog reference into your routine. :D

+1 on the non-Roadrunner Wiley Coyote reference.... I shared an office with a guy in my last couple of years of grad school. Near the end he started coming in later and later to where he was generally working 6 pm to 7 am, whereas I preferred coming in at about 7 am. We said "Mornin' Ralph/Mornin' Sam" pretty much every day when we passed in the hall.

And congrats on still being alive. The '80s certainly were a different time...
