You have inspired me. I have a sawed off Yamaha bass that I picked up dirt cheap as a "silent practice bass." I steampunked a live pickup onto it, but haven't progressed further. The original plan was a "steampunk stick bass."
I'd rock the [bleep] out of that, just top freak out the fundies.
